THE PERFUME WORLD OF PACO RABANNE (PART 1)

Paco Rabanne is a famous French brand that has managed to turn the whole fashion world upside down. Special style, originality, specific feelings – all this is characteristic of many products of the brand.

The history of the brand began in 1965, when its founder Paco Rabanne presented to the world brand new at that time earrings made of transparent plastic. These products quickly gained popularity, especially among young fashionistas who were delighted with the originality of jewelry. As a result, about 25,000 pairs of plastic earrings were sold in 1 year.

Paco Rabanne did not stop there. From the same material, he decides to create clothes. In 1966, in Paris, the designer demonstrated his first collection, called "12 dresses made of modern materials that cannot be worn." The master created clothes from plastic and metal. Stiff dresses in the form of plates connected by rather rough rings shocked the Parisian audience.

It was a real revolution in the fashion world. The opinions of critics were very divided: some spoke of Paco Rabanne as a crazy designer, while others called him the Jules Verne of haute couture. Thus, if the goal of the first collection was to make the world talk about itself, then it was achieved by 200%. From that moment on, critics, the fashion public and the media closely followed the young designer, and he never ceased to amaze them.

Paco Rabanne was one of the first who began to bring dark-skinned girls to the podium. And for the first time, it was at the shows of his collection that the models showed clothes with musical accompaniment – previously, all the catwalks were held without music, under the reading of the dress numbers and their monotonous description.

Paco Rabanne's fantasy seemed to be unlimited. Each of his new collections caused a great resonance among the public.

In 1999, Paco Raban left his company, devoting himself to painting. By the way, his first personal art exhibition was held in 2005 in Moscow. The maestro has repeatedly mentioned that he dreamed of painting since childhood, and his dream came true. One of his most touching and famous works in this field is a picture in which a child launches a balloon and a bird into the clear sky.

On February 3, 2023, Paco Raban died.
